Tempest Saint are a Traditional Metal band, hailing from Hertfordshire, and London, England, best known for their electrifying performances and powerful sound.
Formed in 2023, the band blends heavy riffs with melodic harmonies, and a bluesy approach to structure, alongside shrill vocals and a pounding rhythm section, creating a unique style that resonates with fans of the genre.

He has been singing the style since 2018. Heavily Influenced by 80s Metal, Joe's vocal style is a combination of his Classical Operatic, Musical Theatre, and Rock training, and the distorted shrills of the likes of Eric Adams (Manowar/Bible Black), and Rob Halford (Judas Priest/Fight) as well as drawing on the the bluesy, and soul-esque vocal riffage of Corey Glover (Living Colour/Galactic), to create a foundation for his own, unique melodic style, fit for the 80's metal scene.
James has been playing guitar for 18 years, and studied at the Institute of Contemporary Music Production in London. James' main influences are the likes of Gary Moore (Thin Lizzy and Skid Row), John Sykes ( Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and Tygers of Pan Tang), Jake E Lee (Ozzy Osbourne and Badlands), and Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society). James' style is a combination of Bluesy riffage, and 80's metal shredding, with an emphasis on emotional phrasing and good technique, throughout his playing
Hugh has been playing guitar, and singing, for many years. He's heavily influenced by NWOBHM, and other flavours of Traditional Metal, and Power Metal. His favourite bands include King Diamond, Dio, Helloween, and Devin Townsend. Hugh also sings backing for Tempest Saint
Lee has played with numerous Heavy Metal projects over the years, with a drumming career spanning over two decades. He's played for bands including, but not limited to; Rampant, No More Heroes, Breaking Illusion, Sounds Better Naked and Skarlet Envy. Lee joined Tempest Saint with a view to finally making his own music in the style he grew up on. He is heavily influenced by 80s metal, with his favourites being Stryper, Whitesnake, King Diamond, Y&T and Mötley Crüe.
Richard Airey
Bass Player
Richard is a Steve Harris inspired player, experienced with both Bass and Guitar, and a veteran of the Hertfordshire Metal scene. He was in the band "Breaking Illusion" With Tempest Saint Drummer, Lee, before taking a few years out of the music business to focus on other ventures. Returned with a newly rekindled passion, Rich joined the band after they parted ways with founding bassist, Luke Gould. Richard's influences include Iron Maiden,
